The Sony Ericsson G705, is a slider mobilephone which gives more focus on web integration - mostly aGPS navigation system and web browsing. Its basic function is to provide users with better access to the Internet through fast Internet data transfer technologies and gives a more accessible Internet browsing experience. When you want to browse the Internet, you can just press the shortcut key provided on the front. There is also a Google search bar easily accessible on the home page of the phone.

The Sony Ericsson G705 is a mid range mobilephone that offers Web features as well as a good set of other features such as FM reciever, Youtube compatibility etc.

Here are the features for this promising mobilephone.

Design
The Sony Ericsson G705 has a slider form, it's a clever design to provide a big screen while not being bulky. It has a good size and feels good to hold, it is 3.7 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches size and weighs 98 grams. It s sleek and its got a good screen which displays brilliant colors and sharp details as it is a 2.4 Inch TFT 262k Colour Screen in 320 x 240 pixels resolution.

The navigational buttons just below the screen are very nice. They are easy to press and are very responsive. Slide it down to reveal its ergonomic keypads, they also have a great feel and good sized making it easy to write messages.

Messaging
The Sony Ericsson G705 provides you a wide array of connectivity making it easy to send messages such as SMS, MMS, Email and more. It has Instant Messaging, Email and Exchange ActiveSync, it also has Predictive Text Input functionality for easier typing of messages.

As far a how many messages can the Sony Ericsson G705 can handle, it depends on the memory which also varies due to phone pre-configuration. All I can say is that, you can store a lot... maybe around 1000+ SMS and more. You can also store messages on its memory stick. A warning though, and I know most of you know, that the mobilephone may lag if there are too many messages stored on the phone. This is a common problem among mobilephones.

Calling
When calling, the Sony Ericsson G705 mobilephone has Quad Band frequency which uses GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900. These frequencies are common in the UK and most of USA, so you won't have much problems connecting there. Roaming is easy for the Sony Ericsson G705, these frequencies are switched automatically so you wouldn't have to put any effort switching it. Network coverage depends much on the provider though, so keep it in mind when traveling.

The Sony Ericsson G705 also allows you to have Video Calls supported by 3G HSDPA making it faster and smoother.

Camera
The Sony Ericsson G705 is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera equipped with today's latest trendy or rather efficent and convenient features such as Digital Zoom, Photo Light and even has a Photo Fix readily available for basic photo editing. It can of course record videos.

Internet
The Sony Ericsson G705 as stated earlier has a GPS Reciever and A GPS Function. With this you can treat this phone like a Smartphone as it also has Document Viewer and you can connect with high speeds on the Internet. Its got 3G HSDPA, EDGE and GPRS. It also has Wifi Connectivity and it's pretty fast and very much available to almost anywhere in the world, you can certainly take advantage of this feature. You can browse the net using its Access NetFront Web Browser.

Connectivity
When connecting to other devices, you can use its Bluetooth A2DP for wireless device add-ons like a Bluetooth Headset. It also has our good old USB slot for various external device compatibility.

Multimedia
The Sony Ericsson G705 gives us good multimedia features, although its not that powerful, its enough to keep you entertained. It is equipped with a Music Player that can play various music file types. Its got an FM Radio RDS too if ever you want to listen to the news or just new music.

Battery
A very important aspect of all mobilephones is its battery life. How can a user enjoy its full potential if the phone dies shortly after? The Sony Ericsson G705 is a reliable mobilephone because of its 10 hrs of talk time battery life and an equivalent of 400 hours standby time. This marks the Sony Ericsson G705 a good quality mobilephone.

All in all, the Sony Ericsson G705 mobile phone is definitely a great phone to have and a good value for money. It is a mid range phone and you can rely on this phone on serving you an all around use. The Sony Ericsson G705 has been around since November 2008 and there are still a lot of cheap mobilephone monthly contract available. Even more so than 2 years ago, you can easily find the best free Sony Ericsson G705 cashback deals on the Internet.
